Four situations, four jackets

The commute

A long parka or winter jacket keeps wind off between door and desk. Wear one over trousers and a blouse, or over formal wear. See also Blauer and Colmar.

The weekend

A hooded puffer is the most common style in the range. Pair it with jeans, a sweatshirt and shoes. EA7 and Guess have the most pieces here.

The evening

A faux leather or moto-style jacket lifts a dress or skirt. See also Love Moschino.

Travel

A short zip jacket packs easily and layers well. Put it over a knit, a cardigan or a gilet for changing temperatures.

Labels, fabrics and colours

Guess and EA7 lead the range, followed by Blauer, Armani Exchange, Calvin Klein Jeans and Colmar Originals. Browse Only, Calvin Klein, Superdry and Morgan De Toi for more.

Fabrics include polyamide, polyester, nylon, polyurethane, cotton blends and down, and some pieces have faux-fur trim. Black is the most common colour, with white, cream, brown, grey, beige, blue and turquoise. Almost all are for autumn and winter.
