Jacket, blazer or suit: a quick guide

  • The blazer: structured, lined and meant to be worn with the shirt underneath. Antony Morato is the biggest label here with eleven pieces, and Emporio Armani adds a blue blazer.
  • The check or textured blazer: more relaxed. Only & Sons and Tommy Hilfiger have plaid and patterned styles that pair well with a polo or t-shirt.
  • The suit: best for weddings, ceremonies and evenings out. Mulish focuses on suits, including a blue leopard-print option for anyone who wants to stand out.
  • The blazer-style jacket: bomber, quilted, waxed cotton and fleece styles with a blazer's neat collar. Blauer has 11 blazers and 17 jackets in its own collection.

How to wear them

Fabric and season

You will find wool and wool blends, cotton, polyester, nylon and waxed cotton, and some pieces have shearling collars. Most pieces are made for autumn and winter, with a few lighter suits for spring and summer. Colours are mainly navy, black, grey, brown, beige and green.
